Even when Ramadan has come to an end, we take the opportunity to establish a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. Here are some tips which may help you to stay healthy and fit, and can improve your physical and mental performance.

1. Get enough sleep

Sleep is absolutely essential for mental and physical regeneration. 6–8 hours a night is recommended. Tip: If you can not sleep, drink warm milk with honey.

2. Drink plenty

Water is indispensable for your body functions. Make sure you drink 2–3 litres per day but avoid drinks that are rich in sugar. Rather, choose water, tea or natural juices mixed with water. Tip: Since natural cow’s milk contains 87% water, it is also a good and natural choice for a refreshing drink.

3. Keep moving

Movement is the key to a long and healthy life, which is why you should implement movement in your everyday life. It is not a matter of classes in the gym, but also the small things like going for a walk or taking the stairs instead of the lift.

4. Balance your eating habits

Healthiness is not only about what you eat, but also how you eat. Listen to your body to find out which eating habit gives you the most energy throughout the day: a few big servings or multiple smaller ones. Also try to stop eating when you are full,– this will prevent you from feeling bloated after your meal. Moreover, make sure to implement enough fruit and vegetables into your diet.

5. Be kind and happy

Kindness makes us happy, and happiness and laughing support a healthy life. So do not hesitate: be kind, give compliments, laugh and play with your kids and enjoy your life!
