Preheat oven to 150°C. Butter and colour a pan (34 cm) with 1 tablespoon melted butter and 1/2 tsp. kunafa pastry colouring. Add kunafa dough in a large bowl and separate the strands. Blend with melted butter. Add half of kunafa strands and flatten it.
Add cornflour and milk in a medium heated saucepan and stir well until the mixture clots. Remove pan from heat and add cheese and Bonny Cream. Mix it. Spread mixture on kunafa dough. Add the remaining strands on top and press carefully. Bake the mixture 15-20 minutes until it´s golden.
Blend sugar, hot water, lemon juice and orange blossom water. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer for 10-12 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Take the pan from the stove plate and gently turn it out over the platter. Put the sugar syrup on top and let it soak in for a minimum of 30 minutes. If you don´t like it sweet, pour only 3/4 of the sugar syrup over the kunafa. Garnish with pistachios according to your preferences.
