Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients
  • 1/2 can Bonny Evaporated Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 oz. red food coloring
Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a heart-shaped cake pan with butter. 
  2. Mix the evaporated milk, oil, eggs, water and vanilla until combined. Add in the sugar and mix until incorporated. 
  3. Add the cocoa powder, salt and baking soda and mix until no lumps remain in the cocoa powder.
  4. Add in the flour and red food coloring. Mix until smooth, 30 seconds – 1 minute.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely and cut it in half so that you get two bases. 
  7. Spread the first half with whipped cream, place the second base on top and decorate again with whipped cream.
