Ingredients
- 1/2 can Bonny Evaporated Milk
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 oz. red food coloring
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a heart-shaped cake pan with butter.
- Mix the evaporated milk, oil, eggs, water and vanilla until combined. Add in the sugar and mix until incorporated.
- Add the cocoa powder, salt and baking soda and mix until no lumps remain in the cocoa powder.
- Add in the flour and red food coloring. Mix until smooth, 30 seconds – 1 minute.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely and cut it in half so that you get two bases.
- Spread the first half with whipped cream, place the second base on top and decorate again with whipped cream.
