Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup evaporated  milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons Black  tea, loose
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise, broken
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch grated nutmeg
Preparation
  1. Bring water to a boil, then add the loose tea, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cardamom seeds and black peppercorns. 
  2. Let steep ten minutes.
  3. Strain tea through a mesh strainer or Bodum pourover pot.
  4. Stir together with evaporated milk, ginger and nutmeg.
  5. Serve hot or over ice.
